Mother Nature has been active in many parts of this garden. Roses, shrubs, and black raspberries have turned up in unusual spots, including the slope to the beach, and vines find their way across trees and shrubs for lengthy distances--all with neither help nor encouragement from the gardeners themselves. The naturalized westerly hedge provides privacy for residents on both sides of it as well as a haven for birds and small animals. Island beds add interest to the generous expanse of lawn by displaying various forms and arrangements of plants. A Japanese garden and ornaments hanging on trees, guarding the front door, and in a variety of other places in the front yard are unusual items of special interest. You should not miss these.
