This yard is a wonderful profusion of colour, ranging from newly-planted white impatiens in the front yard to a wall of deep red hollyhocks on the other side of the house. In-between colours include a wide variety of perennials with different shades of yellow, blue and mauve, as well as multi-coloured climbing sweet peas. The tall perennials, small trees and vines, which ramble along the backyard fence, create an atmosphere of privacy and tranquility which is further enhanced by a small water garden. An important feature of interest, as well as convenience for the gardeners is an attractive and useful shed where gardening tools can be kept close at hand.
