Chipman

As you arrive at this home (build in 1914) you should note the hanging baskets on the verandah, then proceed past the variety of plants along the laneway to the backyard. The modest-sized yard is wel used by the Chipman family, and their dog and cat. The yard has a grassed area for play, a small pool, and perennial gardens border the perimeter. Rock for the low wall along the front of the perennial beds came from Martha's grandmother and you will see many plants contributed by both friends and family. A generous variety of perennials inhabit the border, including a herb patch whose contents are used for pesto and vinegar infusions. Rhubarb, tomatoes, and other vegetables have a small corner at the end of the garden.
